Ok so I have all of my contacts saved/backed up in my gmail account and that's how they are then sync'd onto my iphone.
How to Sync iPhone Contacts to Gmail with iCloud Though the procedure of using iCloud to export iPhone contacts to Gmail is long and complex, iCloud is still our first recommended solution. The main reason for this is that with the iCloud Keychain technique, the exported contacts are 100% secure. Synchronize Microsoft Outlook between computers using external USB device, shared network folder or FTP. Sync Outlook contacts, calendars (appointments, meetings and all events), tasks, notes and e-mails without a server. Share Outlook folders on your laptop with your desktop. Multiple Outlook and Google Calendar synchronization. Synchronize Outlook address book and Google Gmail contacts.
But I would also like to back up/sync these contacts to my iCloud - but it doesn't seem to allow me to do this since gmail is default even though I have Contacts ticked on in iCloud they will not sync/populate into icloud at all.
I would like all 3 sync'd/slaved to each other so that if one is deleted on one, it's also deleted on the other 2.
